I am thankful for:
1. Speaking to my father today
2. The general plenty bonding time i’ve had with my boo lately
3. My new iPhone and ALL the plenty awesome it comes with
4. Being off BB esp BBM
5. The beautiful rose blooming in our garden
6. Catching up with my girl, J this a.m
7. The new Deepak audiobook on spiritual solutions i uploaded on ipod, for immense devouring each night before sleeping
I am thankful for:
1. The afternoon i spent with my mum, nephew and bro yesterday
2. I am thankful that my nephew saw me and got all emotional because we got that bond like that
3. I am thankful for starting off yesterday listening to some Eckhart and it calming my chatter-mind down a little
4. I am thankful for the general goodtimes with my husband last night and the night before that
5. That random afternoon call from my husband just to check on me ;)
6. My sister’s ‘happy’ tweet earlier - she’s going through hard times being separated from her son and husband but this too shall come to pass
7. My farewell convo with my boss, he’s brilliant and i have really enjoyed working with him and truly wish him the best!
Had a slight breakdown lastnite after the ‘something bad is going to happen’ session where i felt things were going so well, so fast and so many things at once and although what i felt was ‘overwhelmed’ i picked the wrong choice of words. Luckily my baby, pointed that out and we halted and analyzed it and i realized that i had slowly started tuning off from the ‘zone’ bse of work and everyday life and as a result i was starting to loose consciousness, acceptance etc that i’d put out such a negative sentence into the world very unconsciously.
It was a kind reminder to re-tune, to re-slowdown, to re-connect and am back to that.
I am thankful for:
1. The convo i had with my best friend husband last night
2. For ‘getting it’ - the need to slow, re-tune
3. For the deep felt peace in my heart during this stressful week at the office
4. Re-conditioning my body and resuming running
5. All those great things: my baby’s work, my work, my wonderful boss who’s leaving but has had a profound impact on my career and professional outlook, the revenge episode we saw last night.
Do you ever feel like a plastic bag
Drifting through the wind, wanting to start again?
Do you ever feel, feel so paper thin
Like a house of cards, one blow from caving in?
Do you ever feel already buried deep?
Six feet under screams but no one seems to hear a thing
Do you know that there’s still a chance for you
‘Cause there’s a spark in you?
You just gotta ignite the light and let it shine
Just own the night like the 4th of July
‘Cause baby, you’re a firework
Come on, show ‘em what you’re worth
Make ‘em go, oh
As you shoot across the sky
Baby, you’re a firework
Come on, let your colors burst
Make ‘em go, oh
You’re gonna leave ‘em falling down
You don’t have to feel like a waste of space
You’re original, cannot be replaced
If you only knew what the future holds
After a hurricane comes a rainbow
Maybe you’re reason why all the doors are closed

So you could open one that leads you to the perfect road
Like a lightning bolt, your heart will blow
And when it’s time, you’ll know
You just gotta ignite the light and let it shine
Just own the night like the 4th of July
‘Cause baby you’re a firework
Come on, show ‘em what you’re worth
Make ‘em go, oh
As you shoot across the sky
Baby, you’re a firework
Come on, let your colors burst
Make ‘em go, oh
You’re gonna leave ‘em falling down
Boom, boom, boom
Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon
It’s always been inside of you, you, you
And now it’s time to let it through
‘Cause baby you’re a firework
Come on, show ‘em what you’re worth
Make ‘em go, oh
As you shoot across the sky
Baby, you’re a firework
Come on, let your colors burst
Make ‘em go, oh
You’re gonna leave ‘em falling down
Boom, boom, boom
Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon
Boom, boom, boom
Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon
Been away for a week on an island with my best friend, which has been pure bliss. Naturally, the scenery and general ambiance made me nothing but constantly grateful. I am thankful for:
1. Breaking away with my husband, to a beautiful place
2. Reconnecting with him and consciously being present together throughout the vacay
3. Having a good job, boss that allowed me to get away impromptu and no fuss
4. Having enough money to indulge in all the goodness
5. All the afternoon naps, the lazing around, the general no-hurry, very chilled vibe thru out
6. The wonderful tour guide we met, so healing encountering someone so in the now, so care free, so genuine, so kind, so not attached to the outcome or the honest opinion of others, he touched us!
7. Meeting up with my sis and nephew, and catching up with the little bundle of happiness - holding him, kissing his cheeks, feeling his aliveness and his sweetness
8. Hanging out with sis and having her feel we’re together in this and everything is going to be alright.
